The Hawthorns Self catering Annex is set in 3 acres of tranquil pasture on the edge of the Ancient parish of Ashley village in Staffordshire.

The annex comprises stable door entrance into your fitted kitchen, with table & chairs, electric hob over gas cooker with extractor above, washing machine, fridge, sink & drainer, microwave, toaster, kettle and utensils. Then through to your lounge with 2 double sofas, folding dinning table & 2 dinning chairs, TV and freeview Sky box, iron and ironing board and door opening onto the patio. The lounge leads to the stairs up to the first floor double bedroom with a very comfortable extra long King size bed, bedside tables & lights a small built in wardrobe & chest of draws, with hair dryer. This leads into your en-suite with shower, toilet and basin.

Within close proximity to the Cheshire & Shropshire boarders we are in a perfect location for excellent walking in the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding hills and lanes . Within easy reach by car are the historic towns of Newport, Shrewsbury, Stafford, Nantwich and Chester to name a few. Picturesque villages and other attractions can be found in the surrounding area  such as Dorothy Clive gardens, Bridgemere Gardens, Trentham Gardens , the potteries of Portmeirion & Spode, Keel University, Hawkstone Park FolliesRAF Shawbury, RAF Cosford Museum, are all easily accessible . The Hawthorns B&B is close enough to the village for you to wander down to the local pub The Peel Arms (150m meters) or a short walk to The Robin Hood (15 minutes) or local shops in Loggerheads (3 minute drive).

Our aspect is South and East facing, with views stretching across to the Peak District to the East and Cannock Chase to the South.

We are surrounded by great walks, pubs, restaurants and wild life, with Common buzzards and Harris Hawks regular visitors in our sky’s, as well as the occasional hot air balloon!

The Hawthorns accommodation is a former dairy farm with the earliest part built in the 18th century. Consisting of an attached self contained annex in a courtyard setting comprising fitted kitchen & lounge on the ground floor, with large double bedroom and en-suite on the first floor, all overlooking the court yard, garden and paddocks.

With your own front door, you can come and go at your own convenience, with ample parking right in front of your kitchen door.

Sally & Mark moved into Ashley in 2006, and undertook renovations and conversions over a 5 year period, to what you see today.

Having traveled globally for both business and pleasure for over 40 years, Sally & Mark are well versed in understanding the needs of our guests, whether it’s a short stay or a  work contract that requires you to stay for longer, be assured you’ll receive a warm welcome.
